Kiwanis of the Rockies has been providing a holiday party for Weld County Partners for many years. Weld County Partners fits the mission of Kiwanis very well as Partners primary program is a one-to-one mentoring program for youth who are referred to the program.
The Kiwanis holiday party is held annually in December. Members of the club each pick a name or names from a list of youth by the Partners staff. These are all Partners' youth whose family's financial situations are limited. The past two years the party has included going to watch a movie, complete with candy and pop, and then Santa handing out gifts. Through this annual event the Kiwanis of the Rockies members help provide gifts for over 60 Weld County Partners youth and through this generosity help to make these kid's holiday wishes come true.
